Heating, Electrical and Cooling Plan 2.3MW(e), 13MW(heat), 0.7MW(cool)

Design and detailed engineering with Siemens turbine: Biomass Electric Power Plant (CHP) for District heating and electricity of Volkovysk city.

  • We finished detailed engineering and design for biomass wood CHP plant and pass local expertise with the positive feedback.

Biomass Electric Power Plant (CHP). 60 MWt – heating power: 13t/h – steam; 1,35Mwt – electricity 



Assignment:  We developed Design Project and made detailed engineering for a new woodchips CHP plant, which supply Electricity and Heat, based on steam turbine 1,35MWt. 
Area of operation: Architecture, combined heating and power (CHP), district heating, electricity and automation process (CHP and WT), water supply
Scope of Services: Process design, HVAC design, Steel supporting structures, Concrete Drafting, Electric and Automation, 3D rendering
Software: Revit, AutoCAD, EPLAN

Equipment used

  • 3 x Hot water boilers (1x10 Gcal / h; 2x20 Gcal / h)
  • 2 х Steam boilers 6.5 t / h each (wood chips)
  • steam turbine Siemens SST – 060, 1.35 MW
  • A set of accessories


While making a project we made drawings for: boiler room, administrative building, utility rooms of the boiler room.

All buildings was made of prefabricated metal structures with three-layer insulation. External walling - sandwich panels with non-combustible mineral wool (basalt) insulation and factory finishing.

Electric and Automatic

Design engineers from Electrical Department had to finish their work for the unstoppable operation of the CHP and all equipment in case of damage. Whey made the settings of the protection terminals; short-circuit currents in all necessary modes, circuit solutions for 10 kV, solutions for the reconstruction of 110kV cells.

Automatic Project was done in EPLAN. Electric Power Station will work in fully automated mode.

Canopy for storing wood chips with automated feeding, as well as automated ash removal.


Full design and detailed engineering was completed in 90 days. After we passed local experts and got positive feedback.
